The Consultant B program is for consultants and individuals in the United States and Canada who provide services to businesses seeking to use business as a force for good.
B consultants do not necessarily have to work for a B Corp. However, some familiarity with B Impact assessment and the B Corp movement is an advantage.
During the training, participants will acquire in-depth, market-specific knowledge regarding:
- Responsibility

- Expectations to have when the client is ready to submit their request

You may be wondering what time commitment the program requires. All resource persons in consultation must complete weekly online self-study modules lasting 1 to 1.5 hours, as well as participate in an optional one-hour question-and-answer session twice a month and a final 4-hour virtual workshop.
Before the program begins, take some time to familiarize yourself with B Corp businesses and the movement. Watch this short introductory video. It’s only three minutes long!
Follow the online learning path
Participants will complete their training online on the Thinkific platform over five weeks. Each week, they will complete an online training module lasting approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, supplemented by optional bi-weekly Q&A sessions. The content includes:
- overview of the global B Corp movement;
- use of B Impact Assessment (BIA) to stimulate improvements in businesses;
- knowledge of impact business models (IBM);
- understanding and selection of the appropriate course of study; and
- marketing and service delivery based on the B Impact assessment and B Corp certification process.
Participate in the workshop
During the final week of the program, participants must take part in a 4-hour interactive workshop, including case study presentations, group discussion, and much more.
Take the exam
At the end of the workshop, participants will take a timed exam. Each participant will have two opportunities to take and pass the exam.
