(Coming Soon) The B Corp Advocacy Toolkit
“Policy advocacy means working to influence the laws, regulations, and government decisions that shape public welfare and the rules of the road governing the economy. For B Corporations and purpose-driven businesses, it’s a natural extension of your values.”
Guide
B Corps are credible advocacy leaders because they measure, manage, and maximize positive impact across their businesses and incorporate accountability to all stakeholders into their organizational DNA. As policymakers increasingly look to business for input, B Corps and other mission-driven companies have a unique opportunity to share real-world examples, advocate for policy aligned with the B Impact Assessment and counter narratives that frame strong climate, labor, and equity policies as “anti-business.”
B Lab U.S. & Canada believes that policy and regulatory change is necessary to build a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy, and that meeting B Lab’s updated Government Affairs and Collective Action (GACA) standards is a powerful starting point for that work—not the finish line. From there, this resource invites you to go further: to build deeper partnerships, take bolder stands on climate and racial justice, and help shape an economic system where using business as a force for good is the norm, not the exception.
