The Responsible Lobbying Framework

“Responsible lobbying will never be inconsistent with the public interest”

Guide

The Responsible Lobbying Framework was developed initially to allow a group of Civil Society Organisations to hold accountable their corporate partners during a dialogue process. The Framework can be used both as a set of globally applicable principles and standards, outlining what responsible lobbying would look like, and as an evaluation tool of a specific organization’s lobbying activities. The framework is based on 14 public sources, drawn together by Carnstone on behalf of the dialogue participants.

This resource will help companies meet the Government Affairs and Collective Action (GACA) impact topic for B Lab’s new standards.
