Ripples to Waves: The B Corp Impact Film Festival

The B Corp Impact Film Festival celebrates storytelling as one of the most powerful tools for driving positive change. This curated program of short and feature-length films, all produced by Certified B Corporations, B-Corp-aligned filmmakers, or mission-driven brands, showcases how creativity can move audiences from awareness to action. Each screening reveals how small ripples of purpose can become waves of impact, whether through climate action, fair work, justice and inclusion, or regenerative innovation.

The festival may be presented as a single 90-minute block or as a daily series of thematic showcases (“Climate Action,” “Fair Work,” “JEDI,” etc.). Each block concludes with a live filmmaker Q&A moderated by a B Corp leader to connect the films’ stories to the seven Impact Topics in B Lab’s new standards.

By translating business impact into human stories, this experience invites attendees to feel the heart of the movement, inspiring them to return home ready to tell their own.

As a continuation of the 2022 documentary that introduced this vision, the film captures the Racial Equity team’s work in motion, highlighting tangible progress, lived experiences, and the ongoing journey toward a more regenerative and equitable future.

Company: Ecodeo
Film Title: B Lab’s Founding Story

Synopsis: For twenty years, B Lab built for a world that hadn’t yet arrived. It has arrived.

2024 was the first year to exceed 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Under existing policies, warming is on track for 2.8 degrees. According to the 2026 Edelman Trust Barometer, seven in ten people are unwilling to trust anyone who doesn’t share their values, and the trust gap between high- and low-income respondents has widened from six points to fifteen. The gap between what our governments promise and deliver has never been wider.

Twenty years ago, the question was whether business could be measured differently. The answer is now an ecosystem. Over 10,000 certified companies across 100 countries. Benefit corporation legislation in dozens of jurisdictions. When the Business Roundtable rewrote its statement of purpose in 2019, B Corps had been living it for over a decade. The EU is now mandating sustainability reporting and supply chain due diligence across tens of thousands of companies. The regulatory floor is rising toward what B Corps have done voluntarily for nearly two decades.

Where we’re headed
Twenty years proved it is possible. The standards proved it is rigorous. The moment proved it is necessary. What remains is growing our impact to meet the scale of the challenge before us. Not the kind B Lab can deliver alone, but the kind that comes when this stops being a choice a few companies make and becomes the expectation every company faces.
