Groundwork Coffee partners with small coffee cooperatives around the world to create Regenerative Organic Certified coffee. In addition to organic farming, the certification promotes holistic agriculture practices such as increased soil organic matter, carbon sequestration, and fair economic conditions for farmers and workers. SOPPEXCCA is a union of 18 co-operatives in northern Nicaragua where 60% of the country’s coffee is produced. It has set up a youth movement to integrate young people into the organization and promote education, positive values, gender equality, and cultural and environmental awareness.
